Novel Insights into Biology from Ultra-High Resolution Ion Microscopy Other events...
Dr. Haibo Jiang completed his PhD in Materials at University of Oxford, and continued for a postdoc in Prof. Chris Grovenor's group working on SIMS ion microscopy for biomedical imaging, during which he demonstrated high-resolution direct visualization of lipids and peptides in cells and tissues. Haibo moved to UWA in April 2015, and he is now a Lecturer at the Centre for Microscopy, Characterization and Analysis. Haibo's research interests are focused on the development of novel analytical methods for biological applications, particularly multiplexed and high-resolution imaging of molecules with the NanoSIMS. His current projects involve further understanding of lipid transport, peptide-cell interactions and biometal metabolisms.
